Who?

WHO? Shopgirl. That’s me. By the way.

I have a huge passion for pretty things – evidenced by a wardrobe that is quite literally bulging at the seams and a bedroom filled with boxes of shoes and shoe racks piled three or four high!

I generally try to shop on a strict budget and do not profess to be a bone fida fashionista.

For the past seven years I have been studying – in one form or another – political science and I get as excited about trips to the House of Commons as I do about shopping at Topshop. Sad but true. Currently I am not a student (boo to no student discount) but I do have a completely non-fashion related day job (which I do not plan to expand upon for now).

I have been blogging for just over a year now and I love it. I love the people who come and read my blog and I love the blogs that I read every day and I love the community that I feel I now belong to.

WHAT? This blog is my personal fashion diary: allowing a window onto my world.

I am a girl on a budget – like many of my readers – trying to work out how to stay on trend each season and to incorporate the beautiful things that I fall in love with on the catwalk and in my numerous fashion magazines each month into my limited wardrobe.

Sugar and Spice is filled with all manner of things that inspire me and excite me: from catwalk shows to high street outfits on a budget.

WHY? The blog serves as a creative outlet in my otherwise non-creative life. I fill the space with pretty pictures that make me smile: photos from my life, the people in it and the things around me.

I believe that in order to appreciate fashion and to dress stylishly, it is not necessary to have a wardrobe filled with designer clobber: Sugar and Spice demonstrates that this is possible.

Finally, if you have any questions – about anything that you don’t feel have been answered above – please don’t hesitate to email me.

WHO? Super Stylish Sis. Lil’ sis and all round stylish extraordinaire is a new addition to the Sugar and Spice team. She studied English at university and now works in fashion retail. She worked for high street giant Marks and Spencer for three years after graduating and lives and works in London for men’s formal-wear company, Charles Tyrwhitt.

WHAT? Super Stylish Sis has been blogging for a few months, over at Girl in the Big City, about her new life in London, including things to do and places to go in the capital. She is now making the move to fashion blogging but taking up the challenge to write for Sugar and Spice. She says, “I’ll be writing some guest blogs, all about my latest purchases, from home to fashion to beauty,” adding, “I hope you enjoy they them.”

WHY? Well because, in her own words, “I love all things pretty and pink. I can shop anywhere and enjoy it. I even enjoy food shopping!!”
