I remember this time at school and university always felt like a period of winding down before the holidays, at work it feels something like that, with lots of deadlines and added pressures too! But mince pies and secret santas and office parties certainly help to light the mood and help to encourage the festive spirit.
If you’ve got your office Christmas do to go to soon, check out this article on baring your legs in the cool of the winter.
I have now finished all of my Christmas shopping, wrapped all of the presents and filled the space under the tree, written all of my cards and sent them, so all that is left to do is have a glass of Baileys and a Christmas cookie!
I’ve been spending my weekend curled under a blanket watching Christmas films. Which are your favourites? My favourites include classics like, Home Alone, Planes Trains and Automobiles and Miracle on 34th Street and girly flicks like Love Actually, The Holiday and When Harry Met Sally.
And when I’m not watching Christmas films, Christmas songs are filling the house!
Of course, I’ve been wrapping up in luxury: long wool socks, cashmere throws, soft knit dresses and fluffy slippers. I’ve also been making sure I keep on top of my winter beauty regime with my favourite products.
It’s also this time of year, when the days are short and the nights are long that I begin to pull out favourite box sets, this year it’s Fresh Meat and New Girl.
I’ve been spending my evenings baking sweet goods, from gingerbread men to hang on the Christmas tree to banana cake to enjoy with a mug of coffee.
Today the fiancé and I are off for a very Christmassy day of fun in Birmingham at the Frankfurt Market to well and truly feel a little of the festive spirit.
